Community Code of Conduct

Kindred is a place to have a real conversation with someone new and feel genuinely heard. That only works when everyone treats each other with respect. By using Kindred, you agree to this Code of Conduct.

What we expect

Be kind and respectful. Assume good faith and listen as much as you speak.
Keep conversations consensual. If someone isn't comfortable, let it go.
Respect anonymity. Don't pressure anyone to share personal details, and don't try to identify, record, or track the people you talk to.
You must be 18 or older to use Kindred.

What's not allowed

Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of any kind
Hate speech or slurs targeting people for who they are
Sexual harassment, unwanted sexual content, or sexual advances
Anything that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor (zero tolerance)
Sharing another person's private information, or recording and reposting a conversation
Impersonation, scams, spam, solicitation, or advertising
Encouraging self-harm, violence, or illegal activity

Reporting & enforcement

You can leave any conversation instantly, and report or block anyone, all while your anonymity is preserved. Reports are reviewed at the account level, and we aim to respond within 24 hours.

Depending on severity, accounts that violate this code may be warned, temporarily suspended, or permanently removed. Serious violations, especially anything involving child safety, result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, referral to the relevant authorities.
